The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a voluntary, non-competitive, flexible personal development programme that gives over 10,000 young people in West Sussex the opportunity to be the very best they can be.
How to become a DofE Programme provider
In West Sussex we support over 50 centres to deliver DofE to over 10,000 young people.
Schools that wish to deliver the DofE to their students can do so by signing an SLA with West Sussex County Council. West Sussex County Council are at present not making a change to schools or centres who wish to deliver the award to their students, under the WSCC licence. This is unique in the South East as all other authorities charge schools to deliver, however this is further evidence to the commitment the council has to the award, and a recognition of the support and hard work schools give to young people undertaking it.
